We will have a maintenance outage of the Swansea cluster on Thursday 11th May 2017 from 9am until 5pm.

Any jobs running at the start of the outage will be terminated. We will try to retain queued jobs and allow them to launch once service is resumed.

Several important pieces of work are scheduled: stage 1 of the upgrade of the home file system, replacement of the on-site firewall, remedial work on the scratch file system hardware after issues encountered at the weekend, data-centre infrastructure work, Slurm upgrade.

Service will be returned at the earliest opportunity, which we anticipate to be mid-afternoon. Please see the User Portal for updates on the day, and also observe the Message Of The Day issued when you attempt to login.
