Dear Users

As we have now moved into the new year, it is time to finally switch off the remaining HPC Wales systems. The new Supercomputing Wales systems, Hawk and Sunbird, have been in use for some months and are already being well utilised. HPC Wales home data has been migrated across to the new systems, and we have only seen a few logins to HPC Wales systems this year.

As such, on 31 January 2019, all remaining HPC Wales systems will be switched off – i.e. scp.hpcwales.co.uk and login.hpcwales.co.uk.

Please, as per previous advice, be sure that you have all the data you need:
• Verify your home directory data has been automatically migrated
• Ensure you have manually retrieved any data you need from HPC Wales scratch file systems

Annwyl Ddefnyddwyr

Gan ein bod bellach wedi symud i mewn i’r flwyddyn newydd, mae’n bryd diffodd y systemau HPC Cymru sy’n weddill. Mae systemau newydd Uwchgyfrifiadura Cymru, Hawk a Sunbird, mewn defnydd ers rhai misoedd ac maent yn cael defnydd sylweddol. Mae data cartref HPC Cymru wedi cael ei drosglwyddo i’r systemau newydd, ac ychydig iawn o fynediad i systemau HPC Cymru sydd wedi cymryd lle eleni.

Oherwydd hyn, ar 31 Ionawr 2019, bydd holl systemau HPC Cymru sy’n weddill yn cael eu diffodd – h.y. scp.hpcwales.co.uk a login.hpcwales.co.uk.

Fel y nodwyd mewn cyngor blaenorol, sicrhewch fod gennych yr holl ddata sydd ei hangen arnoch:
• Gwiriwch fod eich data cyfeiriadur cartref wedi cael ei symud yn awtomatig
• Sicrhewch eich bod wedi adfer unrhyw ddata sydd ei hangen arnoch o systemau ffeiliau scratch HPC Cymru
